The AC100 Race Book is the official reference guide and record of the Angeles Crest 100-Mile Endurance Run. This is the twentieth anniversary of Jim O'Brien's record-setting run. We'll be looking at his legacy.

There will be completely updated stats, listings, split charts and all the data that you've come to know and love. The Lodging listings in the back have been completely revised. In the 2009 RaceBook, all the URLs are live.

This book is designed to be read by you under the dome light of a rental car in the middle of the night, or by your hapless crew.
It contains basic information regarding course, procedures, and topography remain fairly constant. Only the roadbeds shift.

The 2009 Race Book has all the updates you've come to know and love; in particular the Split Chart.
This will show you, the eager runner, how little time you really have to load off in aid-stations.

CUT OFF TIMES/SPLITS

Shows the range of splits and cuf-offs that define the race. And if you make it to the Finish Line 30 seconds late…don't blame the crew and pacer.

DETOUR MAP WITH DRIVING INFO

Currently, Highway 2 has re-opened west of Vincent Gap, and currently there is now complete through access to Wrightwood.

However... The San Gabriels do as they damn well please. This detour map shows you an alt route should the highway slide away. Like any good Plan B, the detour map will remain in the book in the event of Nature waking up and shrugging off a culvert or two.

Finally...your photos are always welcome. The preferred format are clear hi-resolution digital images with accompanying captions describing who, what and where. No low-resolution files please. Rule of thumb: if it looks bad, don't send it.
